Electronic Health Record
MSOC has teamed up our Practice Management (PM) system with EMR vendors to provide a seamless
approach for capturing clinical data and billing data.  For many MSOC clients, the EMR and/or the EMR
interface is included in the basic package of outsourced billing.  MSOC is able to do this by passing the
efficiencies that are captured in our process and passing them on to the clients.  This is the true definition
of value-added services.
 
For start up practices and potential clients that do not have an EMR, MSOC has developed a very cost effective

Outsourced Billing
Billing services are centralized in Chapel Hill, NC and are designed to meet the needs of each client. During
the initial set-up, each client is directly involved in the development of the process, including form design,
database management, and policy determination.
 
One of MSOC’s goals is to streamline the reimbursement process for every client.  The achievement of this
goal is accomplished through rapid turnaround time of claim submission.  Attempting to consistently beat
industry benchmarks for days in A/R and Net Collection Percentages have been critical success factors for
attaining this goal.
 
Each client receives a quarterly practice analysis detailing charges, payments, and adjustments by payor.
Management statistics such as payment per Relative Value Unit (RVU), charge per RVU, days in AR, collection
percentages and lagged collection percentages are also included, as well as productivity by physician based
on various denominators such as RVU’s, charges, procedures and payments.

 
Healthcare Consulting Services
Services that MSOC is able to provide include strategic planning, fee analysis, registration process
improvements, billing process improvements, managed care contract review and/or negotiations, information
system review, management analysis (i.e. collections, Accounts Receivables review), compliance plan
